The Moe Family
Larry & Karen
Larry & Karen knew each other in High School, but truly met at a 4th of July Street Dance. They have 3 grown children, Cammie (Greg) 4 children, Ben (Tanya) 2 children and Jake (Janelle) 1 child, yes 7 grandchildren!!
Larry is a retired pipe fitter/welder from Dow Corning and is now our Associate Pastor. Karen is a busy lady, babysitting for grandchildren 3 days a week and helping to care for her mom.
Larry & Karen first started attending Floyd Church in 1997 because it was close to their home and they knew people who were attending here. You can usually find them both before and after service in the narthex welcoming our guests and visiting with all who enter our church.
They enjoy traveling, family gatherings and serving the Lord.
Greeting guests well makes a difference!
I recently started coming to Floyd after realizing I needed strong leadership in my life to be the example for me to become a better person. Being an introvert, I knew I needed to break out of my comfort zone.
On my very first visit to Floyd I was greeted so warmly as soon as I came in, and then having people remember and call me by name made me feel very welcome.
It makes me want to make others feel welcome and appreciated. I have learned we can gain strength from seeing others being faithful.
Thank you, Bennetts family
Pastor Norb Bennetts
Thank you leading us each week in our worship of the Lord. Your love for Jesus and celebrating Him with music has brought great value to our worship services. You are a blessing to your family at Floyd.
As your family embarks upon the next chapter In your journey, we will miss you. May God be glorified through your family's willing obedience to follow His leadership in your calling.
From June 19-22 we will be helping local kids connect with Jesus through sports and art!
MEGA Sports Camp is 6:00pm-8:00pm each night. Children ages 4yrs - 5th grade are invited to come out and learn about Jesus through participating in either basketball, baseball, art, flag football, or dance.
Please invite your neighbors and families to come out for a great time at MEGA Sports Camp.
Families can register children for VBS by clicking HERE.
A New Update on the project
New Hope Village in Sanford is in the process of selecting a contractor and developing a construction schedule. Once that is established, we will have a better idea of what day we will be able to furnish the one-bedroom apartment we chose.
